Aftercare is part of the treatment. The instructions that matter are the ones given for your skin, on the day.
Aftercare is not an afterthought — it is part of the treatment. What you do in the days that follow affects how comfortable the experience is.
The instructions that matter are the ones you are given in the room, because they depend on the treatment, the area and your skin. You will always leave with them, and you can always call the clinic afterwards if something is unclear.
Two things are worth saying in general. Sun protection matters after light-based and resurfacing treatments, and the clinic will tell you how long to be careful for. And if anything concerns you after a session — anything at all — call rather than wait for the next appointment.
This post is general information about how the clinic works, not advice for your skin. The clinic does not publish downtime or recovery times as blanket figures, because they are not the same for everyone, and quoting an average would be misleading.
